Trailblazing electronic producer Hex Cougar has released his highly anticipated Embody EP, marking a triumphant return to BREAK ROOM Records, an imprint under the Insomniac umbrella. This five-track collection explores a wide emotional spectrum, solidifying Hex Cougar’s reputation as a forward-thinking force in electronic music.
“Dream of U,” the EP’s closing track, epitomizes its emotional depth and unrelenting energy. A collaboration with Salt Lake City-based producer Malixe, the song is a symphonic fusion of high-energy leads, thundering Reese basslines, fluttering synths, and cinematic piano arrangements. Hex Cougar’s signature atmospheric soundscapes combine seamlessly with Malixe’s precision-driven sound design, creating a track that is as exhilarating as it is poignant.
The Embody EP builds on the momentum of lead singles “Still In Love” and “Ultra” featuring genre-defying artist VARI, which garnered support from industry heavyweights like Zeds Dead, Illenium, and Alison Wonderland.
