by Press Release

Bristol dance music legend Jody Wisternoff has unveiled his highly anticipated third studio album, ‘Welcome To My World’, out now on Anjunadeep. A key figure in the UK rave scene since the early ’90s, Wisternoff is widely recognized for his role in shaping the sound of Anjunadeep, where he co-curates the chart-topping annual compilation series.

Wisternoff’s career began in 1986 when, at just 13, he became a finalist in the DMC World DJ Championship. He quickly rose to prominence within the UK rave scene, playing at iconic venues like Lakota club in Bristol and performing for legendary promoters such as Fantazia and Universe.

A pivotal moment came with a chance meeting with Nick Warren in a record store, which led to the formation of Way Out West, the pioneering duo behind UK-charting singles and the number one hit, ‘Mindcircus’. Their 1997 self-titled album earned both critical acclaim and commercial success, while their 2017 Anjunadeep album ‘Tuesday Maybe’ became a fan favorite, with remixes by industry titans like Guy J and Ben Böhmer.

Wisternoff has also released two solo albums on Anjunadeep, including the acclaimed ‘Nightwhisper’, which has amassed over 20 million streams, receiving support from BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM Chill. Throughout his distinguished career, he has accumulated over 70 million streams, with his tracks praised by Eelke Kleijn, John Digweed, Nora En Pure, and Chicane, among others.

On ‘Welcome To My World’, Wisternoff continues to explore his musical journey, blending intricate melodies with dynamic production techniques. The 14-track album features standout tracks such as ‘Tales From Beyond’ with Nox Vahn and Natascha Polke, ‘Rain’ featuring Sian Evans, and ‘Ease Yourself’, all highlighting his refined production style. These tracks have garnered support from major outlets like SiriusXM Chill and BBC Radio 1.

In addition to the album release, Wisternoff has announced a global tour, spanning 29 dates across North America, the UK, Asia, and Australia. The tour will make stops in major cities, including London, New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney.

‘Welcome To My World’ is now available via Anjunadeep.
