Qrion Announces Second Album ‘We Are Always Under The Same Sky’ with New Single ‘Keep On Moving Up’

by Press Release

Austin-based producer Qrion (Momiji Tsukada) is back with a taste of her newly announced second album, We Are Always Under The Same Sky, set for release on January 17th via Anjunadeep. Today’s single, “Keep On Moving Up,” showcases Qrion’s emotional depth through a raw house beat infused with lyrics reflecting her sobriety journey. Qrion describes the track as a narrative of self-redemption, capturing her path of “small goals” leading toward a new life after rehab, symbolized in the lyric, “Don’t Know Where I’m Going.”

The album’s artwork, designed by Zee Yorke, represents the hills of San Francisco and Sapporo, with Qrion reaching for a star—each step symbolizing progress, much like the iconic star-collecting quest in Super Mario 64.

Following her acclaimed 2021 debut album, I Hope It Lasts Forever, which Forbes hailed as a “stunning” production, We Are Always Under The Same Sky signifies a new chapter for Qrion. The album includes notable collaborations with talents like Josie Man and DIDI HAN, alongside tracks such as “Hush My Heart” and “Ice Palace.” Her journey in electronic music has seen her receive support from BBC Radio 1, KCRW, and SXM Chill.

Qrion’s sound, celebrated for its mix of wistful melodies, house grooves, and soul samples, continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Her background, from learning piano with her father in snowy Sapporo to discovering electronic music through artists like Skrillex and Porter Robinson, has shaped her artistry and led her to pursue music full-time after a transformative move to San Francisco.

With an extensive tour underway, Qrion will perform her new music across the U.S., U.K., and Canada over the coming months. Fans can catch her at Anjunadeep Open Air events and various club venues. For ticketing details and the full tour schedule, visit her official channels.
