Techno Takes Over Miami | Ultra Resistance Slaps us in the Face with Untz Untz Untz

by The Freaks - Staff

Fun, Sun, and Techno always seem to go together, and what better place to see one of the most phenomenal Techno lineups on record than at Ultra Miami. Blessedly returning to Bayfront Park for its 2020 edition, Ultra is bringing the fire with an absolutely killer lineup featuring several B2B’s and B3B’s that will be sure to make you dance, sweat, and never want to leave the Megastructure for their Resistance brand lineup.

After attending last year’s edition, and never wanting to leave Resistance Island, I’m pleased to see Ultra continuing to develop the Resistance brand for their flagship festival. Ultra has made the decision to expand the iconic Carl Cox Megastructure to all three days, with three performances by the Resistance global ambassador himself. Performing an always phenomenal solo set, coupled with a B3B featuring Jamie Jones and the Martinez Brothers, following his  B2B debut with Maceo Plex. What a way to celebrate Carl Cox’s 20-year residency at Ultra!

Other notable acts include Amelie Lens’ Ultra Miami debut, the return of Adam Beyer B2B Cirez D, and the continuance of Ultra’s nine-week Ibiza residency at Privilege with Richie Hawtin, Nic Fanciulli, Pan-Pot, ANNA, and Eats Everything. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see Richie Freaking Hawtin underneath the undulating lights of the Megastructure.

Tale of Us, CamelPhat, Solardo, Loco Dice, and Gorgon City are all poised for their returns, along with Technasia spinning B3B with Carlo Lio and Hector for their worldwide Resistance debut.

Don’t skip the small print, because rounding out the lineup are fan favorites Enrico Sangiuliano, Nastia, and a live set by none-other than Matador. Sign us UP!!!

Giving a nod to the vibes from last year’s Resistance Island, (RIP) Ultra has graciously given Techno their own magical area in Bayfront park on the northern perimeter of their newly reconstructed festival layout. Resistance Miami will include several areas, including a new stage dubbed The Cove. It’s uniquely positioned along Biscayne Bay near the water. I can’t wait to see this new layout and blissfully listen to Techno under the swaying palm trees overlooking the water. Sounds blissful. Are you in Ultranauts?
