Sonny Fodera and Dom Dolla | Halloween House Vibes in LA

by The Freaks - Staff

This year Halloween seemed to last a full two weeks. The spooky season always gives us plenty of reasons to party in costumes. The weekend before the big holiday and following Insomniac’s Escape: Psycho Circus, a full house packed out Sound Nightclub in Hollywood. It was Sunday, October 27th when Dom Dolla and Sonny Fodera’s US tour took over for the night.

The venue was decorated accordingly with a skeleton hanging right above the stage. As the opening DJ was finishing, Dom Dolla hoped on the decks to get the people going. As the intimate space filled up, the dancing kept progressing. Dom has been on fire recently, and it showed as he rocketed the place into overdrive. Everyone including myself could not keep still as he dropped an epic house set that was truly off the hook. Although it was preDOMinately a house set, there were a few other genre drops. However, when he dropped his famous San Frandisco the crowd lost it and became dancing zombies of the night. More recently, Walker & Royce released a remix of this hit with a quirky and desirable spin on it, check it out now.

After Dom’s electric start to the night, Sonny jumped on the decks to keep the people going. As I mentioned it was a Sunday night; What I didn’t mention was my disbelief that the party was in full swing until the late hours! When Sonny dropped Chris Lake’s “Turn Off The Lights” everyone went wild. With zero care for the Monday workday responsibilities, the people of Hollywood kept their dancing up to par.

The Aussie house producers kicked off their B2B with Sonny Fodera’s remix of Dom Dolla’s “Take It” which left us all begging for more. Just about everyone who came out stuck it out to the end of their show. If you were smart enough to stick around until the closing DJ began, you would have found Dom Dolla front and center stage cheering him on just before he and Sonny left. Sonny happened to ask me who I thought was crazier, he or Dom… after that I totally decided on Dom, in a great way!

Overall, this team of talented men brought everything they had and gave insight to their prominent futures. Each of them is an artist to watch as we end 2019 and begin the 2020 year. Where did you catch Sonny Fodera and Dom Dolla? Let us know in the comments, and be on the lookout for 2020 tour dates as they are announced!
