With one of the biggest holiday party weekends passing by us, New Yorkers were given options upon options on where to get their best costume on and boogie down. But one party, in particular, stands the test of time, unlike any other party in NYC. Brooklyn was blown away with yet another amazing party at Cityfox! This party always delivers and outdoes itself when it comes to production, artist lines up and overall quality. The Halloween edition was no exception and it was clear a lot of love and creativity was put into planning this amazing indoor festival. Cityfox can do no wrong to techno fans!
Between five stages it was clear diversity was Cityfox middle name and with a special 9 am ending time, you were able to tear up the dancefloor till the early morning. Starting my experience at midnight at the Lost Circus stage, I started my night off with the amazing sounds of Atish. I was lucky enough to see him at Cityfox last New Year’s Eve event. I made it a priority to catch him again, rocking the decks to a packed Lost Circus stage with his Big Bird costume on. It was great to see that most of the artists on the line up were in the Halloween spirit and dressed up for this special occasion, although to me Atish’s costume was truly the best of the night. Playing a groovy two and a half-hour set, Atish played a mix of groovy house sound as well fun techno tunes overall delivering a solid set.
The attention to detail in production and floor planning was next level for this edition of Cityfox, from the special “clearing” passageway with strobe lights and lasers to the great hall roof installation that shoots out fire from time to time. Quite simply, it was INSANE! Out of all the events I’ve been to at Avant Gardner, Cityfox always finds a way to bring massive and unique production compared to any other event hosted in this space. We’re spoiled by Cityfox love and attention but most importantly, their dedication to giving fans a unique and amazing experience. It’s hard to put into words how we felt closing out the event with Lee Burridge’s special 6 am closing set in the main room, but it was the highlight of our night and clear that after 9 hours of dancing. We were truly gifted with an unforgettable and amazing night, filled with laughter, amazing sounds, unreal production and most importantly great friends coming together for our love of music.
After attending over five Cityfox events this year, for me, it’s safe to say that we have the best techno party in the United States right here in lovely New York City. we’re so excited and just can’t hide it for Cityfox New Years‘ party to come! We’re already daydreaming of kicking in the new year and decade with the amazing sounds of Sasha & John Digweed, Âme b2b Dixon, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones and many more amazing artists. Just like this Halloween edition, we know the minds behind this amazing party will take it to the next level and delivery one of the most unforgettable New Year’s Eve experience of our lives!
