I’m personally excited for this show, as I’m a huge fan of HEALTH and their incredible and incredibly loud concert style. HEALTH has always pushed the boundaries of aggression and grit and you’ll hear it all in their new album and tour, VOL. 4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR.
Few artists were better prepared to confront the confusion of life in 2019. With its new album VOL. 4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR, the trio has not only made the heaviest, most genre-obliterating album of its career. They’ve documented just how frightening it feels to be alive right now. In the lyrics, singer Jake Duzsik confronts death, isolation and hopelessness with an uncommon candor and intimacy. I don’t know about you, but I love abrasive music that makes you think. Most people like to drift through life, but I love a nice punch to remind me what life really is and why it’s worth living.
Ambitious L.A. noise-rock trio HEALTH pushes the envelope even further on album No. 4. The title’s nod to Black Sabbath is apropos; new songs introduce a shock of metal to its daring blend of dance music and forbidding noise textures.

VOL. 4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR uses every tool in contemporary production to make a terrifying, exhilarating LP. But beneath all of that it also has some of the most vulnerable and evocative songwriting of their career.
“Through the medium of abrasive beats and tortured, explosive synth textures the band tackle the world’s uneasy conscience, resulting in a remarkably cathartic listen.”

HEALTH recently released a collaborative track “HATE YOU” with high-profile rapper & producer JPEGMAFIA, which followed a string of additional fascinating collabs with Youth Code, “INNOCENCE“, Perturbator, “BODY/PRISON“, and Soccer Mommy/Corin Roddick of Purity Ring “MASS GRAVE“.
