Alison Wonderland | New Single “Peace” + Tour + EDC Las Vegas = DAMN GIRL!!!

by The Freaks - Staff

Alison’s passion for her craft is paying off!

On April 4th, Alison Wonderland shared her stirring new single and music video “Peace”. Co-written by Alison, “Peace” follows her early 2019 single “Lost My Mind” with Dillon Francis and her 2018 album AWAKE her not first, but second album to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. The video, based on a concept from Wonderland herself, takes viewers on an intense internal journey. Produced by Jake Kasheta and creative duo Cue the Bird, Alison’s vision is brought to life juxtaposing darkness and light, captivity and freedom, despair and hope.

Alongside her song release, Wonderland appears on the cover of Billboard’s 2019 Dance Issue. The accompanying story examines her unconventional route to success.

“[Her] keen sense of instinct, and her devotion to it, have propelled Wonderland…to the top of the worldwide dance music scene,” Billboard notes. “As her profile rose, industry types and other DJs told her to change her sound; not to sing on her tracks; that no one would understand her contemplative point of view. Instead, she trusted her gut, writing music blending digitally rendered beats, intensely personal lyrics and her own singing and cello playing.”

With her hit 2018 Coachella performance, Alison became the highest-billed female producer ever at Coachella – which made her a natural choice as the face of Forever 21’s limited edition festival collection. Forever 21, the world’s largest independently owned retailer, captured photos of Wonderland onstage at one of her recent shows where, unbeknownst to fans, she was wearing the new line. The collection will be available online and in stores in mid-April and we are counting the days!

Last year, Wonderland played nearly 100 shows across five continents and won praise for her 2018 live show. Billboard ranked her performance among the Top 5 Dance Highlights at Coachella and observed, “Wonderland came to the table with nothing but a home run on the menu.” The Chicago Tribune said, “Alison Wonderland, the only woman appearing on a main stage [at Spring Awakening 2018], ushered in the evening with a buoyant set that featured her singles ‘Church’ and ‘Easy’.” Run The Trap hailed her performance at Belgium’s Tomorrowland as “a work of art…unforgettable.”

All-time streams across all of Wonderland’s songs are approaching 400 million while AWAKE has already racked up more than 150 million streams. It entered Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart at No. 1 – a feat she also accomplished with her self-titled 2015 debut, “Run”. The new album features collaborations with Lorde, Illangelo (The Weeknd), Party Favor, Lido, Chief Keef and Trippie Redd.

If that wasn’t enough happening, Alison sold out her September 12th show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in five minutes. Because of such high demand, the venue added a second show on August 10, which is currently ALMOST sold out. Wonderland’s current tour will take her around the globe in addition to such U.S. festivals as Hangout, EDC Las Vegas, Firefly, and Electric Forest. North American tour dates start in May!
