Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have teamed up with Kosovan-born singer Era Istrefi for the new tropical electro-pop hit ‘Selfish’. The song, which borrows its hook from Toto’s ‘Africa’, combines DV&LM’s pop production skills with Era Istrefi’s vocal talent. ‘Selfish’ feels like a tune that’s tailor made for radio success and the anthem is sure to be a hit at festivals this summer. This is the second release from DV&LM this year, following the Armin van Buuren collaboration ‘Repeat After Me’.
Following a series of sold-out dates in Belgium for their Garden of Madness homecoming shows in December, the duo are set to criss-cross the globe in the next few months, with shows in Mexico, China, France and Chile. For more tour dates and details, check out their website.
Era Istrefi enjoyed a massive 2018 full of singles and collaborations. Her breakout hit ‘BonBon’ was originally released in Albanian, followed by an English version, which was remixed by Marshmello. She also teamed up with Will Smith and Nicky Jam for the 2018 World Cup official anthem ‘Live It Up’. Istrefi’s unique style blends reggae and pop, reminding us of a combination of Rihanna and Sia.
