Ultra Thursdays | How Will Exclusive Performances Affect Miami Music Week?

by The Freaks - Staff

ICYMI: the #Ultra2019 Phase 1 lineup! This year, you will notice many of the headlining artists marked as “EXCLUSIVE.” Unlike previous years, these artists will NOT have other sets during @MiamiMusicWeek. Instead, Ultra will be the only place in Miami to see these performances.

Fans who were expecting to see Miami Music Week performances by the likes of Carl Cox, Deadmau5, Testpilot, Odesza, Griz and more will not have a chance to see a Miami Music Week curated event, and will instead need to make plans to attend Ultra.

Let’s talk a little bit about what makes Ultra more exciting this year than any other year. With the venue change from Bayfront Park to Virginia Key, fans will be treated with a more immersive experience, and will not have to choose between Ultra and a Miami Music Week event, as was the case in the past. I don’t know about you, but #fomo has been real in the past with all the incredible Miami Music Week events, but now that Ultra has released an exclusive lineup with more space, and a later end time of 2 A.M., I personally could not be more excited for this years edition.

We have an excellent Resistance lineup here boasting Carl Cox (OH YES OH YES), another furious B2B with Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber and Pacosuna, Jaime Jones B2B Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin (a literal GEM to see on this lineup), my personal favorites Sasha and Digweed, and of course everyone’s favorite Joel as Testpilot for his first techno set booked at Ultra. I couldn’t be more pleased with this Resistance lineup.
