Sónar has announced the first 30 artists for its 34th edition, taking place June 17–19, 2027, as the festival prepares for a renewed chapter in its history. The initial lineup features a wide-ranging mix of electronic music, pop, rap, and contemporary club culture, with Bonobo, Tokischa, Yung Lean, Frost Children, Jessie Ware, and Cornelius among the confirmed live performers. The DJ lineup includes Carl Cox, Peggy Gou, KI/KI, Romy, Oscar Mulero, and Honey Dijon presenting her Sinister project.
The announcement also outlines a new direction for the festival, reconnecting its programming with central Barcelona while maintaining its established nighttime experience at Fira Gran Via. Sónar by Day will return to a central waterfront location, bringing music and Sónar+D together in one space. Meanwhile, Sónar by Night will return to its two-night format, with four stages hosting major audiovisual productions and artists from across the international electronic music scene.
The first announcement also includes Collabs3000, the collaboration between Chris Liebing and Speedy J; Job Jobse; Aurora Halal performing live; Goldie performing live; Donato Dozzy & Batu; and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. Together, the artists reflect the festival’s broad musical scope, spanning electronic live performance, pop, rap, dembow, techno, house, and experimental club sounds.
Sónar by Day Returns to the Heart of Barcelona
Running from Thursday, June 17, through Saturday, June 19, Sónar by Day will bring its daytime programme to Barcelona’s central waterfront. The move reconnects the festival with the city where it began in 1994, creating a setting intended to encourage discovery and closer connections between artists and audiences.
Sónar+D will once again form an integral part of the daytime experience. Sharing the site with the music programme, the platform will bring together artists, researchers, innovators, and institutions to explore how technology continues to influence creativity, communication, and the future.
Through its focus on research, creative expression, and critical thinking, Sónar+D will provide opportunities to engage with emerging ideas, examine new technologies, and consider the possibilities they may create.
Two Nights and Four Stages at Fira Gran Via
Sónar by Night returns to Fira Gran Via on Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19, restoring the two-night format in response to audience demand.
The festival’s four established stages — SonarClub, SonarPub, SonarLab, and SonarCar — will host its largest productions, combining ambitious audiovisual performances with influential DJs and artists shaping the future of club music.
Bonobo, Tokischa, Yung Lean, Jessie Ware, and Cornelius Lead the Live Programme
Bonobo returns with a new live show presenting Distance in Static. The British producer’s performance will feature a stage production designed by Pierre Claude, whose previous work includes shows for Air, Gesaffelstein, and Phoenix.
Dominican artist Tokischa makes her Sónar debut with a performance drawing from dembow, reggaeton, and rap. Known for her unapologetic approach, her music explores pleasure, sexual freedom, and female agency. Her collaborators have included Rosalía, J Balvin, Madonna, A$AP Rocky, Nathy Peluso, and Skrillex.
Yung Lean, whose early releases helped shape cloud rap during the 2010s, joins the live lineup alongside Jessie Ware. Drawing inspiration from Studio 54 and 1980s Ibiza, Ware brings a pop sensibility rooted in disco and dancefloor culture.
New York sibling duo Frost Children will bring their energetic blend of EDM, electro, and pop to the festival. Their music explores dependence, perseverance, and change, channeling the emotional intensity of emo into an explosive live performance.
Japanese artist Cornelius will present Refractions, released in August. Across more than three decades, his work has continually expanded the possibilities of experimental pop.

Club Pioneers, Returning Favorites, and New Collaborations
Carl Cox returns to Sónar for the first time in more than two decades. One of electronic music’s defining DJs, he joins South Korean artist Peggy Gou and Dutch DJ KI/KI, whose performances have contributed to the current resurgence of trance.
Romy, a member of The xx, will deliver a DJ set focused on the communal energy of the dancefloor. Oscar Mulero also returns after 20 years, bringing his immersive approach to techno, while Honey Dijon explores the genre through her Sinister project.
Following the success of STOOR Live, Speedy J returns with Collabs3000, his collaboration with Chris Liebing. The performance combines Liebing’s vinyl selections with Speedy J’s live improvisation.
Funk Assault, the partnership between Alarico and Chlär, adds groove-driven techno to the programme. Busy P, founder of Ed Banger, will perform back-to-back with Mexican artist Girl Ultra, bringing French Touch, hip-hop, and electro into conversation with her blend of R&B, synths, and new wave.
Aurora Halal will perform live, drawing audiences into her hypnotic electronic sound. Ehua & Flore also join the live programme with a collaboration exploring bass, broken rhythms, and soundsystem culture.
From Underground Icons to a New Generation of Club Artists
Goldie will perform live in 2027 after a collarbone injury prevented his appearance at the 2026 edition. His return brings the jungle and drum & bass performance originally planned for last year.
Job Jobse makes his Sónar debut, while Donato Dozzy and Batu will share the festival’s DJ booth for the first time. Their pairing brings together Dozzy’s hypnotic techno with Batu’s restless approach to bass music.
Georgia-born DJ SALOME joins the lineup with her blend of electro, techno, and acid. Tash LC brings a wide-ranging selection spanning soukous, kuduro, soca, and sounds from across the Global South.
Berlin-based Japanese duo Opal Sunn, formed by Alex Kassian and Hiroaki OBA, also make their festival debut. Their recent releases combine dub and ambient textures with expansive chords, deep bass, and groove-driven production.
The lineup further includes Chinese-Canadian selector Yu Su; Catalan artist ONA, whose sensual and spiritual approach to dance music accompanies a forthcoming debut album; and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, whose live performance combines intricate synthesis, vocals, hyperpop melodies, and drum & bass rhythms.
Veteran techno DJ Adriana Lopez will also revive her drum & bass alias, Suut.
A new generation of artists adds further diversity to the announcement. TK MAMI brings her raw, irreverent combination of trap, glo, and jerk, presenting the recently released TK MAMI UNIVERSITY. Granada-based Kristina draws on old-school reggaeton, while Madrid collective Disobey Sound System brings club sounds shaped by the city and internet culture.
Zaragoza-born Drizzyclare completes the first announcement, bringing a broad musical perspective that has taken her to Rinse FM and NTS.

Sónar Week Expands Across Barcelona
Beyond the main festival programme, Sónar Week will extend across Barcelona during the third week of June, connecting music, creativity, and technology throughout the city.
Alongside Sónar by Day, Sónar by Night, and Sónar+D, Sónar District returns to Parc del Fòrum on Friday and Saturday, bringing international club audiences together with leading DJs. The site will also welcome Sónar Kids, following its sold-out return in 2026, with music and creative activities designed for families.
At Poble Espanyol, OFFSónar will host parties from Thursday through Sunday, featuring international labels and club brands.
