Two rising forces in North American bass music, Levity and YDG, are heading to Japan for a pair of December shows. The artists will bring their respective live sets to Osaka on December 4, 2026, followed by a performance in Tokyo on December 5, bringing their blend of dubstep, experimental bass, and hip-hop influence to Japanese audiences.

For Chicago-based trio Levity, the announcement follows a major run of momentum in the United States. The group made its Coachella debut on the festival’s Sahara Stage, showcasing its “Volcano” production setup and delivering a surprise appearance from Big Sean during their flip of “Dance (A$$).” The performance highlighted the trio’s ability to combine heavy bass music with hip-hop energy, helping establish its sets as a standout draw on the festival circuit.

That momentum builds on previous hometown highlights at Lollapalooza, where Levity shared memorable moments alongside Chance The Rapper and Cage The Elephant. With a sound that moves between dubstep intensity and hip-hop-driven rhythms, the trio continues to carve out a place in North American festival culture.

Joining the tour is YDG, a San Diego-based producer whose bass-heavy sound has earned support and recognition from artists including John Summit, Illenium, Disclosure, DJ DIESEL, and Zeds Dead. Known for tracks such as “I Like The Way You Kiss Me” and “You & Me,” YDG brings a genre-bending approach that blends dubstep with experimental bass textures.

Together, Levity and YDG represent different sides of a bass scene built around high-impact production and sounds that push beyond traditional genre boundaries. Their upcoming Japan dates offer audiences in Osaka and Tokyo an opportunity to experience both artists in a live setting.

With performances scheduled for December 4 and 5, the two-show run brings a dose of North American bass music to Japan as both acts continue expanding their reach beyond the United States.
