Creative allies Mahmut Orhan and Francis Mercier reunite for their latest collaboration, “Get Down,” a club-focused house track shaped by their shared instinct for groove, movement and globally influenced dance music.
Following their previous collaboration “Sadete,” the pair return with a production built around a low-slung groove, pulsating bassline and sultry vocal refrain that loops throughout the track. “Get Down” keeps its production tight and purposeful, giving the rhythmic foundation plenty of room to breathe while subtle melodic details add a moody, atmospheric edge.
The track gradually builds tension before suspending the listener in a moment of anticipation, eventually giving way to an inevitable descent back into its driving groove. Rather than relying on excessive layers, Mahmut Orhan and Francis Mercier allow the rhythm to remain at the center, creating a track designed to work naturally in a club environment.
Their chemistry extends well beyond the studio. In 2025, the two artists joined forces for a sunrise B2B at Burning Man’s Long Feng Art Car, delivering a set that moved through house, deep house, tribal and Afro house as the Black Rock City landscape came alive around them. That shared experience reflects the musical connection heard throughout “Get Down,” where both artists bring distinct cultural influences to a production firmly rooted in the dancefloor.
For Mahmut Orhan, the release arrives during a particularly active period. This summer, he embarked on a global touring run spanning 50 dates across 20 countries while returning to Chinois Ibiza for the second season of his Sounds Like Pillowtalk residency. Francis Mercier was among the artists joining him throughout the season.

The two artists will continue their collaboration into the fall. Mahmut Orhan is set to bring his co-curated party Mahmut Orhan & Friends x Loveland to Amsterdam Dance Event on Friday, October 23. Meanwhile, Francis Mercier launched his Solèy residency at Hï Ibiza, with Mahmut Orhan joining him for a B2B during the September 28 edition ahead of the new release.
Away from the dancefloor, Mahmut Orhan has also been working on his third studio album. The forthcoming project is set to open another chapter in his expanding musical world, with “Get Down” offering an early glimpse of the direction ahead.
At its core, “Get Down” feels like the studio counterpart to the artists’ shared dancefloor encounters. Direct, rhythmic and built around movement, the track brings Mahmut Orhan’s melodic sensibility together with Francis Mercier’s globally inflected house sound. Sometimes, all a dancefloor needs is the right groove.
