Alison Wonderland is entering a new chapter of creative independence with RESCUE U, a new collaboration with rising bass producer WINK arriving October 1 via FMU Records. The release marks Alison Wonderland’s first independent release in more than a decade, pairing her emotional songwriting with WINK’s bass-heavy production and detailed sound design.
RESCUE U opens with an atmospheric, vocal-driven introduction before steadily building into a powerful electronic arrangement. Tension and release shape the track as it develops, eventually reaching a full-bodied sound designed for festival stages while retaining the emotional character that has become central to Alison Wonderland’s music.
“It’s my favorite song I’ve written, and I love how nostalgic it feels,” said Alison Wonderland. “When I close my eyes, it just brings me back to my childhood for some reason. And I can’t explain why. And I think WINK brings such a freshness to what I created. And us being friends made it really easy to work together. This feels like a really big song. It feels like something I’d wanna hear at festivals, in my car, and at a house party. And it’s also my son’s favorite song of all time. Enjoy RESCUE U.”
For Alison Wonderland, the release represents more than another addition to her catalog. After more than a decade of releasing music through labels, RESCUE U marks a return to an independent release model and gives the artist a renewed opportunity to follow her instincts without moving away from the emotional foundation of her work.
The collaboration also brings together two different stages of an artist’s career. At 21 years old, Northern California producer WINK has quickly established himself as one of the newer names to watch in bass music. His recent work includes a collaboration with RL Grime, while performances at Niteharts and direct support slots for Subtronics, DJ Snake, Levity and Tape B have helped introduce his sound to larger audiences.
Drawing from trap, bassline and hyperpop, WINK has been developing a signature sound that fits naturally alongside the heavier production of RESCUE U while giving the collaboration its own identity.

“‘RESCUE U’ was instantly one of my all time favorite songs I’ve ever worked on,” said WINK. “Alex is a close friend and mentor so working together felt super natural. We were immediately on the same page when we started working on it, and the song then grew and materialized into what it is now. Seeing all the reactions when we play it live has been really great to see so i’m very excited for it to officially come out!”
The friendship between the two artists appears to have been an important part of the collaboration, allowing RESCUE U to develop naturally while bringing together Alison Wonderland’s nostalgic songwriting and WINK’s modern bass production.
RESCUE U arrives October 1 through FMU Records, marking a significant new step for Alison Wonderland while highlighting WINK’s continued rise within the electronic music scene.
