GRAMMY®-nominated global dance music duo SOFI TUKKER and iconic guitar brand Gibson have announced a new design collaboration featuring eight one-of-one Gibson Flying V guitars, each uniquely designed in partnership with Sophie Hawley-Weld. The collection will be unveiled throughout SOFI TUKKER’s U.S. ANIMAL TALK Tour, which kicks off September 10.
Rather than revealing all eight guitars at once, Sophie Hawley-Weld will introduce each design individually throughout the tour, performing live with each new instrument as it makes its debut. The collaboration combines the unmistakable silhouette of the Gibson Flying V with SOFI TUKKER’s bold visual identity, turning each guitar into both a one-of-a-kind design piece and a performance instrument.
Following the tour, a selection of the guitars will be auctioned, with proceeds donated through Gibson Gives, the philanthropic division of Gibson. Funds raised will support the organization’s ongoing efforts to expand music education, improve access to music, and promote health and wellness initiatives through the transformative power of music.
The partnership brings together music, design, and philanthropy, using the cultural reach of SOFI TUKKER and Gibson to help create greater access and opportunity while supporting programs designed to strengthen communities and inspire the next generation of musicians and music fans.
