French producer, songwriter, and electro-pop architect Kid Francescoli has released ‘Don’t Get On The Plane’, the final single ahead of his seventh studio album, A Kind Wave, arriving October 9 via All Night Long / Believe France. The new album will also be available as a limited-edition vinyl and CD, while Kid Francescoli has announced an extensive North American tour for Spring 2027.

Led by the vocals of Andréa Durand, ‘Don’t Get On The Plane’ blends electronic pop and cinematic synth-pop, pairing analog textures with organic synths to create an atmospheric backdrop for a story about love, uncertainty, and the difficult space between holding on and letting go. Intimate in its vocal delivery yet expansive in its production, the track captures the emotional warmth that runs throughout A Kind Wave.

“The song puts a love interest to the test, confronting him with the reality of her character, the intensity of her desires as well as her vulnerabilities,” explains Kid Francescoli. “He must face the instability and uncertainties of the moment, and make the most of every moment before, perhaps, it all comes to an end.”

The single arrives with a music video featuring Andréa Durand roaming the streets of Paris. Its sun-soaked visuals complement the vivid production, offering a tender but candid take on a relationship caught between desire and uncertainty.

The release also continues Kid Francescoli‘s growing creative partnership with Andréa Durand, who appears across five tracks on A Kind Wave. Her contributions help weave soft pop, R&B, soul, and dance influences into his established electro aesthetic. Following City of Gold with Nigerian singer Demigod, ‘Don’t Get On The Plane’ further showcases the emotional range of an album inspired by movement, connection, and renewal.

For more than a decade, Kid Francescoli has developed a distinctive musical universe where vintage synthesizers, contemplative electronics, and emotionally driven songwriting meet. Emerging from Marseille‘s vibrant creative scene, his sound has continued to evolve through releases such as With Julia and Play Me Again.

The latter featured ‘Moon’, the global breakout track that has accumulated more than 160 million streams and later found a new audience through TikTok, introducing Kid Francescoli‘s music to a new generation of listeners.

With A Kind Wave, Kid Francescoli moves into another chapter of that evolution. Rooted in electro-pop while reaching into broader musical territory, the album serves as an ode to movement, connection, and renewal. Inspired by travel, new encounters, and the euphoric feeling of life returning with the first days of summer in the South of France, the record balances dancefloor energy with a cinematic sense of intimacy.

“What inspires me most in music is music itself… and the effect it has on people”, explains Kid Francescoli.

That philosophy sits at the center of A Kind Wave, an album shaped by warmth, emotion, and human connection while maintaining the rhythmic energy that has become a defining part of his sound.

Alongside the new single, Kid Francescoli has announced an extensive US tour for Spring 2027, bringing his cinematic live show across North America in support of A Kind Wave. The tour begins in Mexico City on March 21 before heading to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, and New York, followed by Canadian dates in Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City. Tickets go on sale September 11.

The announcement follows Kid Francescoli‘s upcoming European headline tour in autumn 2026. Beginning at Electric Brixton in London on October 14, the run will continue through Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, and Paris, including a performance at L’Olympia, before concluding with a special hometown show in Marseille on December 5.

Known for translating his sun-drenched electro-pop into an immersive live experience, Kid Francescoli enters this next era with a record that brings together electronic production, cinematic atmosphere, and deeply personal songwriting. With A Kind Wave on the horizon and an expanding international live schedule ahead, Don’t Get On The Plane offers a final glimpse into the emotional world of the album before its full release.
