After more than a decade of establishing itself as a major force in European electronic music, FUTURFESTIVAL is opening a new chapter in Mexico. On November 13 and 14, Parque Fundidora in Monterrey will host the festival’s first edition outside Europe, bringing 56 artists, 14 B2B performances and four Mexican premieres together for a two-day celebration of contemporary electronic music.

Founded in Turin in 2009, FUTURFESTIVAL has built an international reputation through a program that bridges generations, genres and underground club culture. Its arrival in Mexico represents more than another stop on the global festival calendar. It creates a connection between two cities and two former industrial spaces that have been transformed into cultural destinations: Parco Dora in Turin and Parque Fundidora in Monterrey.

Both locations have evolved from their industrial roots into places designed for culture, community and new generations. That shared history makes Parque Fundidora a fitting setting for FUTURFESTIVAL to begin its next era.

The inaugural FUTURFESTIVAL Mexico lineup reflects the festival’s commitment to bringing together influential pioneers, established club figures and artists pushing electronic music into new territory. House and techno legends including Carl Craig, Moodymann, Dixon, Âme, Damian Lazarus, Maceo Plex, Tiga, Skream, FJAAK and Vintage Culture will appear alongside a younger generation of artists and selectors, including Diplo, Paco Osuna, DJ Holographic, Echonomist, Marie Montexier, Cloonee, KI/KI and Lilly Palmer.

FUTURFESTIVAL

Rather than simply assembling a collection of high-profile names, the lineup traces the evolution of electronic music across different generations, geographies and sonic movements. From Detroit techno and deep house to contemporary European club sounds and modern festival-driven dance music, the program is designed as a journey through the many cultures that continue to shape the global electronic scene.

B2B performances remain one of FUTURFESTIVAL’s defining signatures, and the Monterrey edition will put that format front and center. Among the standout pairings are Carl Craig b2b Moodymann, Âme DJ b2b Marcel Dettmann, Maceo Plex b2b Tiga, Dennis Cruz b2b DJ Tennis and Francis Mercier b2b Mahmut Orhan. The lineup will also feature Adiel b2b Quest, AirrIca b2b Yulia Niko, ANNA b2b Deer Jade, Iñigo Vontier b2b Paurro, Jackson b2b Lilya Mandre and Massano b2b Volkoder.

Four experiences will make their Mexican debuts during the festival: Carl Craig b2b Moodymann, Adiel b2b Quest, DJ Holographic and STOOR Live.

The programming also expands beyond traditional DJ sets with live performances from AAAA, Metrika and Opuntia. STOOR Live, featuring JakoJako, Mathew Jonson and Speedy J, will bring an additional layer of hardware-driven experimentation, improvisation and technology to the festival, reinforcing FUTURFESTIVAL’s focus on the more exploratory side of electronic music.

The festival’s Mexican debut is also supported by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, strengthening cultural and creative ties between Italy and Mexico through music, innovation, investment, entertainment and the broader creative industries.

Sustainability will play an important role in the event as well. Through a partnership with Nat5, FUTURFESTIVAL Mexico will introduce a regenerative environmental model in which a percentage of every ticket sold will be directed toward nature regeneration projects. The initiative will use mechanisms designed to track and measure the environmental impact generated through the program.

With its Monterrey debut, FUTURFESTIVAL is bringing a history built over more than 15 years into a new cultural landscape. The result is a lineup that connects electronic music’s influential past with its rapidly evolving present, while creating a platform where music, technology, culture and environmental regeneration intersect.
