TroyBoi continues the rollout for his forthcoming FT EP with the release of “La La Land,” a new collaboration featuring North Carolina rapper and singer Morray. Available now on all major streaming platforms, the single offers another preview of the producer’s highly anticipated collaborative project, arriving August 21.
Following recent releases including “Jungle” with Shiwa, “Way Better” featuring Toxic Rob, and “HUSH” alongside Daya, “La La Land” showcases another side of TroyBoi’s genre-defying production. The track pairs his unmistakable bass-heavy style with Morray’s soulful vocals, creating a blend of melodic hip-hop and festival-ready electronic music.
Built around Morray’s emotive vocal performance and TroyBoi’s signature off-kilter rhythms, “La La Land” channels the producer’s early sound while delivering a fresh, modern twist. Deep low-end grooves, syncopated percussion, and infectious melodies come together in a track equally suited for headphones, dancefloors, and festival main stages.
“I’ve been a fan of Morray for a while,” TroyBoi said. “I sent him the instrumental and he immediately connected with it. We both saw it as an opportunity to step into each other’s worlds. The new single serves as one of the official releases from FT, an upcoming collaborative EP that highlights TroyBoi’s versatility as a producer across electronic, hip-hop, and R&B.
