MoBlack has reunited with legendary Malian singer Salif Keita for another inspired collaboration, this time teaming up with Bedouin and Feki Station to deliver a fresh Afro house interpretation of Keita’s iconic anthem, “Mandjou.” Released on July 24 via Decca Records France, the rework follows the remarkable global success of MoBlack’s official remix of “Yamore,” which earned Diamond certification in France and achieved five-times Diamond status worldwide.
The release brings together three respected names in electronic music, each contributing a distinct perspective to one of African music’s most celebrated recordings. Feki Station has continued to build momentum through releases on labels including MoBlack Records, while receiving support from influential artists such as Black Coffee, Keinemusik, and Damian Lazarus. Meanwhile, Bedouin have cemented their reputation as pioneers of melodic and organic house through acclaimed productions and their long-running SAGA residency in Ibiza.
Rather than simply remixing the original, the trio reimagines “Mandjou” by preserving Salif Keita’s unmistakable vocals while surrounding them with warm Afro house grooves, organic instrumentation, and hypnotic percussion. The result is a contemporary interpretation that bridges traditional African musical heritage with modern dancefloor sensibilities.
The collaboration has already proven itself in clubs long before its official release. According to MoBlack, the track spent more than a year as a staple in his DJ sets, steadily generating excitement on dancefloors worldwide before finally making its way to streaming platforms.
