Rising Slovakian pop artist ADÉLA has announced her highly anticipated debut album PRIMA, arriving September 4, 2026 via Capitol Records. The announcement comes alongside the release of her latest single “Ain’t In LA,” accompanied by a music video directed by Fred Gervais and filmed in ADÉLA’s hometown of Bratislava.
Following recent singles “KGB” and “Red Bottoms,” “Ain’t In LA” offers another glimpse into the bold, genre-blurring world ADÉLA has been building. Powered by booming 808s, distorted drum programming, chopped-and-screwed vocal effects, and polished pop production, the track reflects on her rapid rise from Slovakia to the global pop spotlight while expressing gratitude for the opportunities that have shaped her journey.
The inspiration behind the song came after ADÉLA returned home and discovered photographs of her mother at 18 years old, standing in front of a wall covered with pop culture posters. The moment sparked a reflection on ambition, untold stories, and the countless dreamers whose talents may never receive recognition.
“My grandfather smuggled the posters in from Germany,” she shares. “It made me think, ‘There are so many beautiful girls with dreams who will never get their flowers like my mom’. I wrote this for her and the billion other bitches who are probably cooler than me.”
Executive produced by Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin, PRIMA presents a fully realized portrait of ADÉLA’s artistic identity, capturing the confidence, vulnerability, and ambition of a young artist stepping into her own power.
“I want this album to sound exactly like a 22-year-old girl,” ADÉLA explains. “I tried to express both sides. I mixed the hard with the soft, the vulnerable with the swag of it all, the muscular beats with the feminine energy. I did exactly what I wanted to.”
Across PRIMA, ADÉLA explores themes of identity, independence, relationships, insecurity, friendship, love, and personal transformation. The album combines high-energy production with intimate songwriting, pairing powerful club-inspired rhythms with moments of emotional honesty.
The album title reflects both her debut status and her ambition to become one of pop music’s defining figures.
“PRIMA means ‘first’, which is perfect since this is my debut. Being a prima ballerina means you’re the top dog or the best ballerina in the house. It’s a term of endearment in the ballerina community. I’m trying to be the prima ballerina of pop, and this is my first step to achieve that.”
The announcement follows a major year of momentum for ADÉLA, including the release of her debut EP The Provocateur via Capitol Records.
