2X GRAMMY-nominated DJ and producer Steve Aoki, in collaboration with his acclaimed label Dim Mak Records and SoundCloud, has officially launched the #AOKIChallenge. This exciting initiative invites aspiring producers from SoundCloud’s creator community to submit their original tracks for a chance to have their music released as an official single on Dim Mak Records. The #AOKIChallenge offers emerging talent an extraordinary platform to showcase their production skills and gain exposure through one of the industry’s most iconic independent record labels. Steve Aoki and the Dim Mak team will personally review each submission, ultimately selecting one track that embodies the label’s forward-thinking sound. The winning track will be released as an official Dim Mak single and debut exclusively on SoundCloud.
Key Dates for the #AOKIChallenge:
- October 3: Submissions open.
- October 29: Final deadline for submissions. Producers must upload their original tracks by this date to be eligible.
- Early December: Steve Aoki will appear on a special episode of SoundCloud’s Sound Advice series, where he will recap the challenge, emphasize Dim Mak’s dedication to discovering fresh talent, and highlight the winning artist’s work.
