Kito Unveils Bold and Genre-Breaking ‘BIMYOU’ EP via Mad Decent

by Press Release

Australian-born, LA-based producer, DJ, and tastemaker Kito has just released her stunning BIMYOU EP, out now via Mad Decent. This four-track collection is packed with vibrant, dancefloor-ready tracks featuring an all-star lineup of genre-breakers, including Kah-Lo, Brazy, Baauer, Wafia, Nonso Amadi, St. Panther, and Beau Nox.

BIMYOU flaunts Kito’s signature flirty and fun production style, with femme-centric energy that carries through her extensive discography. The EP kicks off with sultry, multilingual dual vocals from Kah-Lo and Brazy on the playful track “take your vibes and go,” while the electrifying collaboration between Wafia and Nonso Amadi on “back 2 love” showcases Kito’s masterful genre-blending abilities. Rounding out the EP, “die 4 you” and “don’t leave” highlight her experimental sound, perfect for dancefloors worldwide.

Inspired by the Japanese word BIMYOU, which translates to “subtle” but implies something is slightly “off,” the EP pushes the boundaries of electronic music while embracing imperfections in the best way. Kito explains, “This EP has been about subtracting the overthought elements and keeping the bits that felt a little ‘off’ — in a good way.”

With a career spanning work with Skrillex, BANKS, Fletcher, and remixes for icons like Sia and Kylie Minogue, Kito’s sonic evolution is on full display with BIMYOU. She’s also known for her Club Kito party series, curating femme-led lineups with artists like Tei Shi and Tove Lo.

This fall, Kito embarks on her BIMYOU Tour, with headline stops in Brooklyn, DC, and Denver, along with select dates supporting Diplo.
