Today, award-winning electronic artist and producer Ben Böhmer releases his latest single, “Faithless,” featuring UK vocalist Erin LeCount. The track is part of the lead-up to Böhmer’s highly anticipated third studio album, Bloom, which drops on September 27 via Ninja Tune.
“Faithless” marks a significant departure from Ben Böhmer’s signature melodic house and techno sound. With nearly 1 billion streams from his previous works, Böhmer has solidified himself in the electronic music scene. However, this new release showcases his evolution as a composer and songwriter, venturing into the indie and pop worlds. The track blends LeCount’s ethereal vocals with Böhmer’s immersive production, driven by halftime percussion and soaring atmospheric pads, creating an emotionally resonant soundscape.
LeCount shared her personal connection to the song:
“‘Faithless’ really came together in a case of divine timing—I was in the right place at the right time when I heard the instrumental. Ben’s production is such a beautiful soundscape that it was so natural to write for. I wrote the lyrics about a cycle of self-sabotage in wanting to love someone and then leaving the minute things get good—reminiscing and regretting it every time but being unable to stay anywhere too long.”
Erin LeCount is rapidly emerging as a breakthrough artist from the UK, known for her poignant lyrics and cinematic compositions. Her work has been lauded by Wonderland Magazine as “stellar” and Clash as “beautifully poignant.”
“Faithless” follows a string of singles leading up to Bloom, including “Rust,” the critically acclaimed “Hiding” featuring Lykke Li, and the lead single “Best Life,” featuring JONAH.
Ben Böhmer has been riding a wave of success following major festival performances at Lollapalooza, Sonar by Night, and Electric Forest, as well as direct support for ODESZA at The Gorge, BMO Stadium, and Madison Square Garden. His North American tour culminates with a performance at Portola Festival, before heading to Australia for a sold-out tour and then back to Europe for massive fall shows, including a highlight at Alexandra Palace’s Great Hall.
With over 4 million monthly Spotify listeners and 1.3 million social followers, Böhmer’s influence continues to grow. His famed Cercle set has surpassed 34 million views, making it one of YouTube’s top 10 most-viewed electronic sets of all time.
Bloom is shaping up to be a major milestone in Ben Böhmer’s career, pushing the boundaries of his sound and artistic identity. Be sure to check out “Faithless” and mark your calendars for the release of Bloom on September 27.
