Acclaimed producer Sango is set to take listeners on a global musical journey with the announcement of his forthcoming album, Rhythm and Melody, arriving July 10 via Mass Appeal. Alongside the announcement, the genre-defying artist has released his latest single, “The Cold,” featuring Babyface Ray, G.T., and Julian Andretti, offering another glimpse into an album that effortlessly bridges cultures, cities, and musical traditions.
Built around the idea that “there’s something for everybody,” Rhythm and Melody showcases Sango‘s remarkable ability to blend sounds from across the globe. The project fuses the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats, the gritty lyricism of Michigan rap, the bounce of New Orleans, the rapid-fire movement of Chicago footwork, and the unmistakable energy of Baile Funk into a cohesive body of work. The album also features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including platinum-selling artists Big Sean, Smino, and GoldLink, further highlighting Sango‘s versatility as both a producer and curator.
Leading the album rollout is “The Cold,” a collaboration rooted in the sounds and stories of Michigan. Joined by Babyface Ray, G.T., and Julian Andretti, Sango crafts a moody, hard-hitting backdrop as the trio reflects on perseverance, survival, and the realities of everyday life.
