A new music and technology company is aiming to reshape how artists benefit from their catalogs in the age of artificial intelligence. Artist Included, founded by entrepreneur Paul “PK” Kemsley and entertainment attorney and film producer Jeremy Rosen, has officially launched with a mission to help legendary musicians regain creative control, ownership, and long-term value from their work.
The company’s artist-first model centers around ethical, artist-approved voice AI technology designed to help musicians create new recordings while maintaining creative involvement throughout the process. Rather than replacing artists, Artist Included says its goal is to provide tools that allow creators to revisit and reimagine their music for modern audiences while retaining ownership of newly created masters.
To celebrate its launch, Artist Included has partnered with BMG and Boy George to release a newly recorded version of Culture Club’s iconic hit “Karma Chameleon.” The release coincides with Boy George’s 65th birthday and serves as the company’s first major project.
According to the company, the recording is not an AI-generated vocal performance. Instead, Boy George recorded new vocals in the studio, with artist-approved AI technology used only to enhance and support the final production process. The approach highlights the company’s emphasis on transparency and artist participation.
“For decades, artists created the soundtrack to our lives while much of the long-term value moved away from the original creators,” said Kemsley. “Artist Included was built to help reverse that dynamic. This is not about replacing artists or exploiting old catalogs — it is about helping artists create new ones.”
Rosen echoed that vision, emphasizing the importance of placing artists at the center of conversations surrounding AI and music rights. He noted that the company aims to create a framework where artists directly participate in the future value generated by their voice, music, brand, and legacy.
For Boy George, revisiting one of his most recognizable songs became both a personal and creative experience.
“Revisiting Karma Chameleon in this way was emotional and creatively inspiring,” he said. “The goal was never to replace the original — it was to celebrate it and let the song keep evolving for new audiences.”
Beyond new recordings, Artist Included plans to help artists unlock opportunities across streaming, film, television, advertising, gaming, brand partnerships, exclusive vinyl releases, remixes, foreign-language versions, Dolby Atmos formats, and direct-to-fan experiences.
The company has also assembled a notable leadership and investment team. Robert Earl, founder of Planet Hollywood, has been named Chairman of the Board. Meanwhile, AI technology partner Syntiant provides the vocal processing platform behind the company’s artist-approved recordings. Early investors include Mike Walsh, Doug Raetz, and Red Light Management.
As debates around AI continue to evolve across the music industry, Artist Included is positioning itself as a platform focused on consent, transparency, and creator participation. With additional artist partnerships and releases already in development, the company hopes to offer a new blueprint for how artists and technology can work together while preserving the value of creative ownership.
