Renowned Bay Area-born electronic producer and DJ Jauz is unveiling his latest track, ‘Teardrops,’ via his renowned imprint Bite This! on March 29th. ‘Teardrops’ mesmerizes listeners with ethereal synth melodies, vocal chops, and nostalgic breakbeat rhythms that showcase the dance music heavyweight’s ability to transcend genres. With a seamless fusion of ambient elements and progressive house melodies, Jauz’s latest offering is truly unlike any release of his prior- ushering in a new chapter of sound from the talented producer.
Born Sam Vogel and hailing from the Bay Area, Jauz has been making waves in the dance music scene since his debut in 2014. His journey from Hard Summer fan to main stage performer showcases his rapid ascent. With his breakout hit ‘Feel the Volume’ on Mad Decent, the music innovator caught the attention of industry giants like Zedd, Skrillex, and Diplo. Known for his dynamic sets and genre-defying tracks, he’s since become a fixture on global festival stages.
In 2016, Jauz kicked off his first sell-out tour, “The Friendzy Tour,” followed by the “Bite America!” Tour in 2018, which also marked the launch of his celebrated label, Bite This! Thereafter, he released his debut album, The Wise & The Wicked– which made history by topping the dance charts within just 90 minutes of its release. Garnering over 20 million streams in less than three weeks, the album solidified his position as a dance music powerhouse.
Fast forward to 2023, Jauz released two all-original albums to pay homage to his debut LP- exploring progressive-house sounds with Rise of the Wise, followed up by the drum-and-bass and dubstep-infused Wrath of the Wicked– showcasing the producer’s versatility in the electronic music realm. His highly anticipated Wise vs. Wicked 2024 Tour kicks off in April, where concertgoers may choose between a ‘Wise’ or ‘Wicked’ show- or can indulge in both for the ultimate Jauz experience.
