Unless you have been hiding under a rock somewhere, Ultra Music Festival recently released their phase 2 for their 20th-anniversary extravaganza in Miami. Ultranauts had been speculating for some time when phase 2 was going to be released, much less who would be on it.
I called it early, and I couldn’t be more elated. I was hoping for Benny Benassi, and luckily the powers that be announced him for the second phase. I’m crossing my fingers for a classic set because he was one of my first loves in House music. Rounding out phase two is Fischerspooner, Cedric Gervais, who I have yet to have seen live, and Dubstep fans will be happy with Modestep as an addition. Oliver Heldens will also be joining the highly curated lineup along with Phase one favorites.
Many fans had been anxiously awaiting the return of Swedish House Mafia, who teased last week on social media with all sorts of images from their previous Ultra performances. I myself, well… I am still holding out for french robots. What’s it going to take to get Daft Punk? Although at this point, I would take a live Disclosure set as a consolation prize. We will all have to wait until Phase 3 drops for the special performances and surprises in store for 2018’s big anniversary year. Tickets are sold out for GA packages, but VIP packages remain. Head to www.ultramusicfestival.com to pick up your tickets for an amazing 20th-anniversary experience. We will see you in Miami!
Expect the Unexpected!
